According to the Director of Naval Information, Comrade Adedotun Ayo-Vaughan, the activity was conducted in three centres across the state; Kaduna, Lagos and Rivers State but the list of successful candidates is not yet out. A naval officer (name withheld) on duty at the Nigerian Navy Barracks, Akim, Calabar has lost his reproductive organ to a genital thief who gave his name as Samuel. According to a press release dated September 1, 2023 and signed the President’s media aide, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Ondo State representative, Mr. Victor Akinjo has been replaced by Hon. Otito Atikase. The University of Calabar, UNICAL has again suspended another top lecturer, Prof. Cyril Ndifon who is the Dean of Faculty of Law, over alleged sexual assault on female students. According to Ndifon’s suspension letter signed by the school’s registrar, Mr. Gabriel Egbe, the suspension takes effect today, August 17, 2023. Ndifon’s suspension followed a protest by some law students in the institution who accused the Dean of constant sexual assault on female students. The Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu has ordered the disbursement of N5 billion to the 36 states (summing up to N180 billion) of the federation and an additional 5 trucks of rice to each for the 36 states.
