A pastor has been killed early Tuesday as church building belonging to Dunamis Church Nigeria and situated at Mission Ward in the NorthBank area of Markurdi, the Benue State capital.
A police spokesman in the state named Sewuese Anene confirmed the development to newsmen noting that the incident took place at about 2.00 am today.
According to Anene, she said the pastor, identified as Emmanuel gave up the ghost while receiving treatment at the Benue State Teaching Hospital. “The incident occurred this afternoon. It was at about 2.00 am this morning.
“Yes, it is confirmed. We have report of a building collapse at the location, we have his name as Pastor Emmanuel.
“He died while he was being treated at the Benue State Teaching Hospital. The cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained,” the Police spokesperson said.
