Obaseki condemns some actions as lawless in Edo state as the All progressive congress (APC) sets to inaugurate Okpebholo on Tuesday,12 November ,without consulting the state government. Obaseki made the remark in Benin during the inauguration of caretaker committee for the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. He stated that the government was supposed to be in charge of overseeing the inauguration programme In obseki words he stated that they were doing an inauguration and as the governor he wasn’t aware ,it was more like they were starting a brand new state and government.
Burkina faso’s military regime wants to reinstate the death penalty in the country ,after it was abolished in 2018 ,a government source revealed on Saturday. Reintroducing capital punishment to the penal code “is being considered. It’s up to the government to discuss it, then make the proposal to the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT) for adoption,” the source said, adding that the date had not been chosen.
