The Police Service Commission, on Tuesday, insisted that the ongoing recruitment into the Constable cadre of the Nigeria Police Force is free from the registration stage to the last stage which is a medical examination. The PSC made the clarification following a trending message asking shortlisted candidates to appear for physical screening with N2,000 each. The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, has said that the Federal Government has resumed the payment of arrears to beneficiaries of the N-Power programme. N-Power is a scheme set up in 2016 by the former President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, to address the issues of youth unemployment and help increase social development. Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Eno Umo has ordered the employment of 1,500 women and 3,500 men into the State’s new security outfit known as Ibom Community Watch (ICW).
