At about 8.00am of Friday, December 1, 2023, a military aircraft belonging to the Nigeria Air Force has been said to have crashed upon landing at the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) Base in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital.
As at the time of filling this report, the cause of the crash was not known but the said helicopter was all down in flames, as per eyewitness report.
“We heard a loud sound inside the NAF Base and before we know it, there was a thick smoke coming out from there and when we went close to inquire we learnt one of their helicopters crash-landed,” our source said.
NAF is yet to issue a public notice on this, perhaps, to state the cause and casualty, if any.
