The United States of America president, Joe Biden has warned his citizens against visiting some states in Nigeria because of the high crime rates prevalent in those states.
According to Biden, U.S visitors in Nigeria should avoid Bayelsa, Delta, Enugu, Imo, Rivers states, exception of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Other states flagged with red by the country’s travel advisory update released on Wednesday are Bauchi, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara, Abia, Anambra States.
For increased rate of kidnapping, terrorism, inter-communal violence, civic unrest and armed gangs in the above mentioned states, U.S. citizens are advised to carry their U.S.A passport and proper identification cards as well as the Nigeria visa when they choose to visit those states.
