President of the 10th Senate, Sen. Godswill Akpabio has today, during plenary read out 13 names contained in President Tinubu’s appointment list which the latter sent for screening and possible confirmation.
According to the nomination letter which was read today, Wednesday, July 19 on the floor of the Senate, the names, upon confirmation will become members and executive management of the governing board of the North East Development Commission (NEDC).
They are:
- 1. Paul Tarfa (Adamawa) — Chairman.
- 2. Gambo Maikomo (Taraba) — North East representative.
- 3. Abdullahi Abbas (Kano) — North West representative.
- 4. Tsav Aondoana (Benue) — North Central representative.
- 5. Mutiu Lawal-Areh (Lagos) — South West representative.
- 6. Samuel Onuigbo (Abia) — South East representative.
- 7. Frank Owhor (Rivers) — South South representative.
- 8. Mohammad Alkali — Managing Director.
- 9. Musa Yashi — Executive Director of Humanitarian Affairs.
- 10. Ahmed Yahaya — Executive Director of Operations.
- 11. Abubakar Iliya — Executive Director of Admin and Finance.
The 12th and 13th member of the board will be representatives from the Ministry of Finance, Budget & National Planning.
