The federal governments have allocated the 21-storey smart building in Uyo as the official corporate headquarters of the South-South Development Commission (SSDC).
This ultra-modern skyscraper, one of the tallest buildings in Nigeria, is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, symbolizing the government’s commitment to innovation and efficiency in governance.
The establishment of the SSDC marks a significant step towards addressing the unique developmental needs of the South-South region, which is rich in natural resources but has long faced infrastructure and economic challenges.
In the same vein, it is reported that the YPP governorship candidate in the 2023 elections, Sen. Bassey Albert has been named the chairman of the governing board of the Commission.
