One of the young lawyers from Ugep, Sam-John Usani Esq. has won his case against BOUYGUES Construction, the 7th richest construction & engineering company in world.
In a suit filed at the National Industrial Court sitting in Abuja before Hon. Justice O.Y. Anuwe between SILVANUS Chime v. BOUYGUES Construction Nigeria Limited & ANR in suit no NICN/ABJ/29/2022, the Court on the 22nd April 2024, delivered a landmark judgement in favour of the Claimant, whose benefits was unlawfully withheld by the Defendants on malicious grounds.
Having considered the case of the claimant and submissions of learned counsel for the Claimant, Sam-John Usani Esq., the court while entering judgment in favour of the Claimant, dismissed the counter claim of the Defendant counsel for lacking in merit and ordered that the benefits of the Claimant be paid in full, a compound interest at 20% per month from the date of termination till liquidation of the said sum and cost was also awarded.
