Former presidential aide and chieftain of the All Progressive Party (APC), Obol Obono Obla has bared his sentiments on Yakurr constituency 1 Assembly member, Hon. Cyril James Omini who, yesterday, splashed fifteen million naira (N15,000,000) on women of his constituency.
As part of activities to commemorate the 2024 International Women’s Day (IWD) as well as celebrate women’s contribution to societal development, Hon. Cyril Omini yesterday, March 8th, 2024 gifted N100,000 each to 150 vulnerable women as startup capital for small scale businesses.
In his judgment, Obol Obla believed that “Hon. Cyril Oden James Omini is a compassionate leader and representative we have not seen since 1999”.
Obla noted that the lawmaker’s generosity, kindness, response and quality representative leadership he is giving to his people is commendable. “He has definitely taken the gauntlet of leadership and the numerous challenges and stress it comes with. The young first term legislator has done what we have not seen from all our elected Representatives since 1999. He is teaching all of us what leadership is all about,” Obla commented.
Obla who is also a traditional ruler in Ugep exposed that “while some of our representatives are shifty and dodgy just to avoid providing a helping hand to our poor and vulnerable people, Hon. Cyril is always lurking around the corner ready and eager to help”.
