The lawmaker representing Obanliku/Bekwarra/Obudu Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Peter Akpanke has shared a total of two million, four hundred thousand naira, only (N2.4m) to students.
Beneficiaries of this gesture were 12 students of the Nigeria Law School drawn from Akpanke’s constituency.
Handing over the money to them, the Lawmaker informed them that the effort was a reminder of his campaign promise to contribute to the growth and development of education in the constituency, even as he charged them to be worthy ambassadors of the Constituency.
Hon. Akpanke also stressed that the monitory assistance was without any political or ethnic sentiments, only but to assist and cushion the effects of hardship occasioned by the removal of petroleum subsidy in the country.
“We cherish education and one of the ways through which we can impact our society is to give unfettered access to education and assist our students,” Akpanke added.
