The management of University of Ilorin, Kwara State has bowed to pressure from students and as such has taken a turnaround on its recently announced fee increment.
It is gathered that after several students protests and meetings between the school management led by the DVC Academics, Prof. Abayomi Omotesho, and the Students’ Union, led by its President, Comr. Joseph Ologundudu, the decided a downward review of its charges for year 2022/23 academic session which has just begun.
According to a UNIILORIN news bulletin published on Monday, the Management announced that fresh students will no longer pay the initially announced N254,640 as school fees and returning students will not pay the N103,560 initially announced.
Instead, fresh students and returning students will pay about N114,720 and N52,700 respectively.

The President of the Students’ Union, Ologundudu, thanked the university management for its thoughtfulness as reflected in the adjustment of the charges.
