Founder and CEO of Dudu Foundation, Lady Edu Offong has won the Rotary International Club’s Humanitarian Award for her renown charitable causes and her many socio-economic interventions.
Edu, who is a staff of NDDC was the only female nominee for recognition among a few top elites in the likes of former governor of Rivers State, H.E. Nyesom Wike, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe representing Abia South Senatorial District and others who also won Rotary Prizes for their respective categories.
According to Rotary Club International, Edu merited the award courtesy of her charity organization, Dudu Foundation — “a platform she is using to; support several SMEs, organize various back-to-school outreaches, issue scholarships, support poor and aged, among many other programmes”.
The award was presented to her by the immediate past Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike on Saturday, July 29, 2023 during the installation ceremony of the 7th Governor of Rotary District 9142, Mr. Akan Emah in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
With this award, she stands out as one of the renowned philanthropists in Nigeria.
