Yesterday, July 14, a trainer aircraft labelled FT-7NI and belonging to the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) crashed in Makurdi, Benue State.
Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet who is NAF’s public relations and information director said late Friday that the plane was having its routine training exercise when it crashed.
Gabkwet further said that the two pilots onboard the crashed plane survived and that no life was lost to the incident. However, Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hasan Abubakar has set up an inquiry committee to investigate the cause of the crash.
