The House of Representatives has released names of a 19-man adhoc committee to oversight Rivers State for the period of the emergency rule declared by President Bola Tinubu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a press release signed by Rep. Akin Rotimi Jr., the Spokesman of the House, and dated Sunday April 13, 2025, the following members have been nominated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The release also announced that inauguration of this Committee is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, 2025. \u201cIn line with Section 5 of the State of Emergency (Rivers State) Proclamation, 2025, and pursuant to Section 11(4) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the House has constituted a dedicated Ad-Hoc Committee to monitor implementation and ensure that governance in the State remains within the bounds of constitutionalism and rule of law.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
